Requirement 3 — Complete 9 hours

Complete 9 hours of electives. It is strongly recommended to take courses from multiple disciplines. (All R courses must have African or African Diaspora content. ENGL 236, ENGL 495, PORT 355, and SFL 354 must also have African or African Diaspora content. Students should consult with the Africana Studies faculty coordinator before adding these courses.)

Note: 4 hours of an African or African Diaspora Language course may be substituted here with the approval of the Africana Studies faculty coordinator.
