BYU Online High School
Department Information:
BYU Online High School offers high-quality, standards-based education for grades 7-12, providing flexible alternatives to traditional schooling. We combine proven online teaching practices with a safe, technology-enabled learning environment to meet the diverse needs of students. Our full-time, diploma-granting private high school serves students across the United States and worldwide. Courses, taught by certified teachers and designed by expert instructional designers, align with national and state standards.
Students can choose between two accredited diploma tracks—Standard and Advanced—while enjoying online learning and fun and interactive weekly activities such as clubs, hangouts, devotionals, National Honor Society, and more. We offer college credit options, including both Advanced Placement and Concurrent Enrollment courses, to help students advance their education beyond high school. Parents appreciate the transparency of our balanced education, ensuring clear insights into their child’s learning journey.
Students can build their own schedule, choosing a combination of 6 or 7 of the following course options per semester that fit your needs:
· Semester Live Courses: Engage in live classes with teachers and students and participate in interactive opportunities like Student Council. These courses follow a traditional August–May calendar with semester-based courses and weekly deadlines to keep students on pace. Ideal for students who thrive on structure and real-time interaction.
· Flex On-Demand Courses: Learn at your own pace with year-round enrollment and no live classes. Complete modules flexibly within six months without late penalties. Course pacing recommendations provided. Great for students seeking flexibility and independence.
