Title
Developing Theory-Based Measures
Learning Outcome
Develop psychological measures grounded in theory and evidence. Students will define constructs, generate and refine items, and collect and analyze data to build original assessment tools.
Title
Critically Evaluating Psychometric Quality and Ethics
Learning Outcome
Evaluate the strength and limitations of psychological measurements. Students will appraise evidence of reliability and validity, identify sources of measurement error, and judge whether interpretations of test scores are warranted - recognizing that questionable measurement practices compromise both ethical practice and the replicability of psychological science.
Title
Applying Measurement Reasoning to Claims
Learning Outcome
Apply measurement principles to critically evaluate claims in science and daily life. Students will use the logic of construct definition, evidence evaluation, and measurement quality to assess the strength of claims - whether in published research, professional practice, or personal decision-making.
